THE ANTI-FRAGILE COLLECTIVE ADDRESS THE BODY IN ISOLATION
Anti-fragile Collective goes online and asks: "how can we prototype new rituals to explore the creative capacities of our bodies in isolation"?
An online Knowledge Exchange project designed for staff and students of SMC launches Wednesday 20th May.
The philosophy of the anti-fragile will be used to navigate the uncertainty of this moment in time, with a particular focus on the body. Our bodies - existing in isolation, lacking physical human touch, fragmented through our screens and devices, screen fatigued, minimal physical movement or environmental stimulation. Throughout this online project we will prototype new rituals that explore the creative capacity of our bodies in isolation.
Adopting the mindset of the anti-fragile will enable us to have a more iterative and experimental approach to our work, expanding the boundaries of our practice.
