THE ANTI-FRAGILE COLLECTIVE YEAR 1 TAKEOVER

Knowledge Exchange project between progressive creative agency Superimpose, and Year 1 School of Media and Communications students, LCF.

In the last week of January 2020 we will collaborate with Superimpose on inviting our first year School of Media and Communications global community to creatively explore their vision of now.

Over the course of five days a community of students, industry and academics will interrogate what it means to be Anti-fragile.The focus will be on creative and critical play; a space for our students to be imaginative and take risks while speculating on the cultural, structural and political zeitgeist and how they might activate change.

The Anti-fragile collective will develop an Anti-Fragile Manifesto that will set out a series of provocative clauses, values and aims. The students will then respond to their manifesto by creating ‘mythical creatures’ that will emulate the values, personality traits and super-powers of the anti-fragile.

The empowering project addresses what it means to be consciously vulnerable and practice collective joy in the process and is part of a wider practice based research project exploring HE teaching within the themes of Knowledge Exchange and Radical Pedagogies.
